How are student attendance rates used in determining our accountability rating?
Attendance rates are not used as an indicator to generate accountability ratings. However, the attendance rate is an indicator evaluated when determining distinction designations for academic achievement in ELA/reading, mathematics, science, and social studies. The attendance rate is based on student attendance for the entire school year for students in grades 1–12. For more information on designations refer to Chapter 6 of the 2023 Accountability Manual.
