Do students earn CCMR credit for enrolling in U.S. Military Academy?
When a high school student is accepted to a U.S. military institution of higher education (IHE) or academy (West Point, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy) they are not enlisting in the military, and do not receive a DD form 4. Not until their 3rd (Junior) year of the academy do they formally enlist in the military and owe a military commitment. Acceptance into a military IHE is the same as acceptance into a civilian college or university.
